Welcome to Term 2

Hoki mai ano / welcome back everyone to another term of great learning at Arahoe School.

We are looking forward to a science and technology focus across the school this term and will be sending home more details about what is happening at each year level in our team newsletters at the end of Week 1.

In the meantime we wish everyone a successful start to the new term as our autumn weather starts to cool down and take us into winter.

Haere mai ki a koutou katoa – a warm welcome to Arahoe School.

We are a vibrant and dynamic multicultural school in New Lynn, West Auckland. We like to give our ākonga/students every opportunity to explore, grow and succeed in all areas – not just the core curriculum areas of literacy and maths. We are passionate about science, history, technology and the arts as well as physical pursuits, and our students are given a wonderful variety of contexts in which to find out how to be the best version of themselves. Diversity is welcome here and every student's uniqueness is valued, nurtured and celebrated.

I am lucky enough to work with a team of outstanding educators and support staff, backed by a talented and dedicated School Board.

I look forward to seeing your child, you, and your whānau around our school over your time here.

Ngā mihi nui / warm regards
